What do you think of MassAudio 1.0.0?

It's all I need.
Very good, but it still needs some features.
Not bad, not bad at all...
Naw, basically it's ok, but Java pleased me more!
You can do better.

Short News: MassAudio 1.0.0 released

MassAudio I made last changes to the code and released MassAudio 1.0.0. The actual file copy process got more robust as the application uses direct Win32 API copy functions now. Furthermore the progress of a file copy is shown in a progress bar now while the response time to cancelations of transfer tasks got minimized.

Short News: Sony Ericsson W950i

Portable Audio

Sony Ericcson presents a further model of its Walkman Phone series, called W950i. It comes with a QVGA touchscreen, displaying 262.144 colors on 240x320 pixels, and radios over GSM 900/1800/1900 or UMTS. With a dimension of 106x54x15 mm and a weight of only 112 g it's nearly as thin as the popular Motoral RAZR V3 and almost as heavy as the Samsung D600.

Most interesting is Sony Ericsson's decision to include 4GB of flash memory which makes the W950i a perfect candidate for music addicts who want to enjoy MP3, AAC, AAC+, E-AAC+, WAV and m4a. By letting Symbian serve as the internal OS, further features like Bluetooth, IrDA, Opera web browser, Macromedia Flash Lite and an RSS-Feeds reader enrich the usability list.

The mobile phone is planned to be released during the third quarter of 2006, retailing for 700 €.

Short News: Toshiba Working On Methanol-fueled Music Players

The Net

Toshiba has shown two prototypes of Methanol-fueled music players in Japan, underlining the company's success in technological research. According to Golem, a well-known German IT site, the first prototype, a Flash-based player, can play for 60 hours when fueled with 3,5 ml highly concentrated Methanol (99,5%). The HDD-based prototype is expected to last for even 60 hours, weighting 270g.

Toshiba plans to showcase the music players during the next Ceatec Japan 2005 this October and expects commercializing the technology in 2007.
